Accessibility
Spark Social House resides in a Historic Townhouse on the U St Corridor. The building is partially accessible, and we're actively working to improve accessibility both in-person and virtually.
Current Accessibility Features
First Floor Access
Our main floor is accessible via a portable ramp that we store just inside the doorway. If you require use of the ramp, we're ready to set it up at any time. Please DM or e-mail gm@spark-dc.com so we can have the ramp set up prior to your arrival.
Accessible Restroom
We have a fully accessible bathroom located on our first floor.
Outdoor Patio Access
Our back patio is accessible through our rear alleyway entrance. Please note that due to the steep step between our main floor and patio, this separate entrance provides the best accessible route to our outdoor space.
Building Considerations
Second Floor
Currently, our second floor is only accessible by stairs. We understand this limits access to parts of our venue and apologize for the inconvenience.
Virtual & Remote Access
We're expanding programming beyond our physical space to ensure everyone can be part of the Spark community:
- Live streaming of select events and programming
- Virtual participation options for community gatherings
- Online access to our community resources
Our Commitment
As stewards of this historic building, we plan to make future investments to improve accessibility while preserving its character. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue this important work.
